1. After running for 200-300 hours, the first oil change should be carried out, and the quality of the oil should be regularly checked in future use. Any oil mixed with impurities or deteriorated should be replaced in a timely manner. In general, for reducers that work continuously for a long time, new oil should be replaced after running for 5000 hours or once a year. For reducers that have been out of service for a long time, new oil should also be replaced before restarting. The reducer should be filled with oil of the same brand as the original, and should not be mixed with oil of different brands. Oil of the same brand but different viscosity is allowed to be mixed for use;
2. When changing the oil, wait for the gearbox to cool down and there is no risk of combustion, but it should still be kept warm because after complete cooling, the viscosity of the oil increases and it is difficult to drain the oil. Attention: Cut off the power supply of the transmission device to prevent accidental power on;
3. When the oil temperature rises above 80 ℃ or the oil pool temperature exceeds 100 ℃ and abnormal noise is generated during work, the use should be stopped, the cause should be checked, the fault must be eliminated, and the lubricating oil must be replaced before continuing to operate;
4. Users should have reasonable usage and maintenance rules and regulations, and carefully record the operation of the reducer and any problems found during inspection. The above regulations should be strictly implemented.

The selection of lubricating grease should be based on the load of the walking reducer bearings. For heavy loads, lubricating grease with low penetration should be selected. When working under high pressure, in addition to low penetration, it is also necessary to have high oil film strength and extreme pressure function. Calcium based grease has good water resistance and is not easily emulsified or deteriorated when exposed to water. It is suitable for lubricating various mechanical components in humid environments or in contact with water. When selecting lubricating grease based on working temperature, the main indicators should be drip point, oxidation stability, and low-temperature performance. Drip point can generally be used to evaluate high-temperature performance, and the actual working temperature of bearings should be 10-20 ℃ lower than drip point. The use temperature of synthetic lubricating grease should be 20-30 ℃ below the drip point. Different lubricating oils are prohibited from being mixed with each other. The positions of the oil level plug, drain plug, and vent are determined by the installation location.
