Gearboxes are power transmission components that rely on gear shifting structures to reduce motor speed and amplify output torque. There are four main reasons for the wear of spline teeth. One issue is inadequate daily maintenance, insufficient lubricating grease, and long-term gear oil shortage, which accelerates contact surface wear and tear; Secondly, impurities such as metal debris are mixed into the lubricating oil, which continuously rub against the tooth surface during operation, exacerbating wear and tear; Thirdly, improper selection of gear materials, substandard material performance, and insufficient inherent wear resistance; The fourth issue is insufficient precision in gear processing and assembly, abnormal meshing state, and additional friction loss during operation.

Multiple protective and improvement measures can be taken to address the issue of gear wear. Firstly, strengthen the tooth surface treatment to improve surface hardness and smoothness, and enhance wear resistance from a hardware perspective. Secondly, to maintain the cleanliness of the lubricating oil and oil system, wear-resistant additives and magnetic adsorption media can be added to the oil to timely intercept metal impurities in the oil and reduce the grinding damage of hard particles to the tooth surface. This is also a key means to prevent gear wear.
