Gearbox oil leakage is a very troublesome problem, and I believe it also troubles many friends. So how to deal with it? Here are several methods introduced by Shangying editor based on previous experience, to see if they can help you solve the problem of oil leakage in reducers.
Methods for treating oil leakage in reducers:

1. Improve the breathable cap and inspection hole cover plate. Create an oil cup style breathable cap and change the original thin inspection hole cover plate to 6mm thick. Weld the oil cup style breathable cap onto the cover plate, with a diameter of 6mm for easy ventilation and pressure equalization. When refueling, add oil from the oil cup without opening the inspection hole cover plate, reducing the chance of oil leakage.

2. Smooth flow. Open a return oil groove inclined towards the inside of the machine at the center of the lower tile of the bearing seat, and also open a notch at the straight mouth of the end cover, with the notch facing the return oil groove. This way, excess lubricating oil flows back to the oil pool through the notch and return oil groove.

3. Improve the shaft seal structure.
(1) Improvement of shaft seal for reducer with half shaft output.

(2) Improvement of the shaft seal for the reducer with a full shaft output.

4. Adopting new sealing materials. For the leakage of the static sealing point of the reducer, a new type of sealing material can be used to block it.

5. Wipe it. After the equipment stops running, wipe off the oil stains on the shaft.
The above is the introduction from the editor of Shangying.
