How to install a precision planetary gearbox?

1. Before installation, it is necessary to confirm whether the appearance of the motor and reducer is intact, and check whether the dimensions of the parts connected to the motor and reducer match, such as the positioning protrusion of the motor, the input shaft, and the groove of the reducer.
2. Unscrew the screws outside the reducer flange, align the PCS system tightening ring with the dust port, and insert it into the hexagon socket.
3. Connect the motor and reducer naturally. When connecting, it is necessary to ensure that the concentricity between the output shaft of the reducer and the input shaft of the motor is consistent, and the outer flanges of the two are parallel. Inconsistent alignment can cause the motor shaft to break or the gear of the gearbox to wear.
In addition, during installation, it is strictly prohibited to strike with hammers or other tools to prevent excessive axial or radial forces from damaging bearings or gears. Be sure to tighten the installation bolts before tightening the tension bolts. Before installation, wipe off the rust proof oil on the motor input shaft, positioning boss, and reducer connection parts with gasoline or zinc sodium water. Its purpose is to ensure the tightness of the connection and the flexibility of operation, while preventing unnecessary wear and tear.
Before connecting the motor to the reducer, the keyway of the motor shaft should be perpendicular to the tightening bolt. To ensure even force distribution, first tighten the installation bolts at any diagonal position, but do not tighten them. Then tighten the installation bolts at the other two diagonal positions and tighten the four installation bolts one by one. Tighten the tightening bolt. All tightening bolts need to be fixed and checked with a torque wrench according to the indicated fixed torque data.
Precision planetary gearboxes are widely used in many places, but people only use them without knowing their various data. Without sufficient understanding, it is impossible to fully utilize their power. Due to structural reasons, precision planetary gearboxes are highly sought after by people.
From the data analyzed by experts, it can be seen that the single-stage reduction is as small as 3 and generally does not exceed 10. The common reduction ratio is 3.4.5.6.8.10, and the number of reducer stages generally does not exceed 3. However, some customized reducers with large reduction ratios have 4 stages of reduction. Compared to other reducers, precision planetary reducers have the characteristics of high rigidity, high precision (up to 1 point per stage), high transmission efficiency (97% -98% per stage), high torque/volume ratio, and lifetime maintenance free. Due to these characteristics, precision planetary reducers are mostly installed on stepper motors and servo motors to reduce speed, increase torque, and match inertia.
The rated input speed of precision planetary reducers can reach up to 18000rpm (depending on the size of the reducer itself, the larger the reducer, the lower the rated input speed). The output torque of industrial grade precision planetary reducers generally does not exceed 2000Nm, and specially designed ultra high torque precision planetary reducers can achieve over 10000Nm. The working temperature is generally around -25 ℃ to 100 ℃, and its working temperature can be changed by changing the lubricating grease
Precision planetary gearboxes are equipped with servo motors, so the backlash level (arc minutes) is quite important. The price difference between different backlash levels is quite large. Precision planetary gearboxes can be connected with multiple gearboxes to achieve high reduction ratios of up to 100000.
